Sheet Vinyl Supply & Fitting

Practical, water-resistant and easy to maintain — sheet vinyl is an excellent choice for kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms. We supply and fit the Floorgear Pro Vinyl range across Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside.

What is Sheet Vinyl?

Sheet vinyl is a resilient flooring material that comes in wide rolls — typically 3m or 4m — and is cut to fit your room in a single piece, with no joints. That seamless surface makes it highly resistant to moisture and easy to clean thoroughly, which is why it remains the go-to choice in kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms.

Modern sheet vinyl is far removed from the thin, dated material of decades past. Today's products feature realistic wood plank and tile effects with genuine texture, good underfoot comfort, and a durable wear layer that stands up to daily use.

We supply from the Floorgear Pro Vinyl range — a practical, mid-range product available in a selection of wood and tile effects suitable for any room.

Seamless & Waterproof

One continuous sheet means no joints for water to penetrate. Ideal for wet and high-splash areas.

Easy to Clean

A damp mop is all you need. No grout lines, no gaps, no awkward edges to trap dirt and bacteria.

Realistic Designs

Wood planks, stone tiles, herringbone effects. Modern printing gives convincing results at a practical price point.

Budget-Friendly

Sheet vinyl offers excellent value. A full kitchen or bathroom floor can be supplied and fitted at a surprisingly accessible price.

Best choice

Bathroom

No joints means no moisture getting into the subfloor. Sheet vinyl is one of the safest choices for bathrooms, particularly for older properties.

Excellent option

Utility Room

Resists water, mud and cleaning products. Low-maintenance and durable enough to handle the hardest-working room in the house.

Sheet Vinyl or LVT?

Both are excellent waterproof floor choices for kitchens and bathrooms. Here's how they differ.

Sheet Vinyl

  • Seamless — no joints for moisture to penetrate
  • Lower cost than LVT in most rooms
  • Wide rolls suit irregular shapes easily
  • Quick and straightforward to fit
  • Softer and quieter underfoot than LVT
  • Good choice for rental properties and budget refits

Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT)

  • Thicker, more rigid, more premium feel underfoot
  • Better for underfloor heating systems
  • Individual planks — damaged sections can be replaced
  • More realistic wood and stone embossing
  • Wider design range and higher-end aesthetics
  • Better long-term investment for owner-occupied homes

Sheet Vinyl FAQ

Is sheet vinyl suitable for bathrooms?

Yes — sheet vinyl is one of the best choices for bathrooms. The seamless surface means no joints for water to get under, which is especially important in bathrooms with baths, showers and splash zones. Just ensure the edges are sealed at walls and around the bath or shower tray.

How long does sheet vinyl last?

A well-fitted sheet vinyl floor in a residential setting typically lasts 10–20 years. Heavy traffic, dragging furniture and sharp objects will reduce that lifespan. For kitchens and bathrooms where foot traffic is moderate and cleaning is regular, vinyl generally performs well for well over a decade.

Can sheet vinyl go over existing tiles?

In most cases, yes — if the existing tiles are firmly adhered, level and in good condition. Any loose or cracked tiles should be removed first. Textured tiles may need screeding over to prevent the pattern showing through the vinyl. We'll assess the subfloor during the consultation.

Is sheet vinyl the same as LVT?

No — they're both vinyl products but different constructions. Sheet vinyl comes in large rolls, is thinner and softer, and is fitted in one continuous piece. LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) comes in individual planks or tiles, is thicker and more rigid, and is installed piece by piece. Both are waterproof; LVT is generally more premium while sheet vinyl is more budget-friendly.
