We supply from the Floorgear range — quality PP (polypropylene) carpets in loop, twist, super-twist and saxony construction, all available in multiple colourways. We also supply sheet vinyl in a range of wood and tile effects.

Every carpet installation includes the right underlay for the pile type and room, professional gripper fitting, and disposal of your existing floor.

Bedroom

Warm, soft and quiet underfoot. Carpet is still the most popular choice for bedrooms — especially with a quality underlay underneath it.

Living Room

Comfortable for families, absorbs sound and feels genuinely warm in winter. Loop and twist piles handle traffic well in main living spaces.

Good option

Hallway & Stairs

Carpet on stairs is safe and quiet. Choose a durable twist or loop pile for high-traffic areas — avoid saxony which shows footmarks more.

Not recommended

Kitchen & Bathroom

Moisture, spills and hygiene make carpet a poor choice for kitchens and bathrooms. LVT is the right call in wet or high-spill areas.

Carpet Fitting FAQ

What's the difference between loop, twist and saxony carpet? ▼

Loop pile (like Loopstar) has continuous loops of yarn — durable, textured, good for high-traffic areas. Twist pile (like Twistability) has twisted yarn tufts that spring back — very resilient, good for hallways and busy living rooms. Saxony (like Saxion) has cut and brushed yarn — very soft and luxurious, ideal for bedrooms where comfort matters most. Super-twist and super-saxony are denser, higher-quality versions of each.

Is underlay included in your carpet price? ▼

Yes — underlay, gripper, fitting and disposal of your old carpet are all included in the price we quote. The only thing we don't include is the carpet itself at list price — we'll quote supply and fit together so you know exactly what you're paying from the start.

Do you move furniture before fitting? ▼

Yes — we move lighter furniture as part of the fitting process. For very heavy items like fitted wardrobes or large sideboards, we'll discuss this at the consultation stage so there are no surprises on the day.

Can carpet be fitted over underfloor heating? ▼

In some cases, yes — but it depends on the UFH system and the tog rating of the underlay. Carpet significantly insulates against underfloor heat, which reduces system efficiency. If you have UFH, tell us when you call and we'll advise on whether carpet is the right choice or whether LVT or engineered wood would work better.
